Hi! We are Jennifer and Steve, a husband and wife team that loves to grow and create on our 3.5 acre homestead in North Central Ohio. We are Indiana natives, but transplanted to Ohio via New Mexico in 2008. Two years later, we bought a sweet, decrepit little farm house that we continue to transform into a place of beauty, tranquility and inspiration. (Secretly, we call it the Charm Farm.) We love life and work in all we do to care for this beautiful planet on which we live.
The Common Milkweed idea planted itself in 2007 while living in Santa Fe, NM where we dreamed of working the land, growing food for us and for nature and owning our time. We gave our idea a go at our homestead in Indiana, lovingly named Coffeetree Bottoms, but our wanderlust took us to southeastern New Mexico to work at Carlsbad Caverns National Park and play in the empty and wild Guadalupe Mountains. We soaked up the desert and left a big part of our hearts there when we moved to Ohio, but the moisture, frogs, fireflies and a job with The Nature Conservancy called us back. We sunk our roots in deep and so here we grow with our menagerie of rescued kitties and chickens and hopes and dreams so big you could climb them like a mountain.

Exploration, growing, making things and habitat creation..our loves!
